Changzhou Institute of Technology (referred to as CIT) is a public full-time Higher Education Institution approved by the Ministry of Education in China. It is located in the economically vibrant Yangtze River Delta region, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. Hertfordshire College, CIT is a Sino-foreign joint institute established by the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and CIT, it jointly designs and delivers programmes leading to awards from both the University of Hertfordshire and CIT. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in China and enrols maximum of 240 undergraduate students across all 3 programmes every year.
Hertfordshire College, CIT offers three engineering programmes: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and Mechanical Engineering. All degree programs offered at Hertfordshire College, CIT are validated by the University of Hertfordshire and quality assurance and enhancement mechanisms all mirror those at the University of Hertfordshire.
As an emerging and vibrant joint educational institute, we aim to establish an international and innovative engineering college in China. We are proud of the successful collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire and will continue to expand international cooperation with more global partners in the future. We believe in meaningful and mutually beneficial collaboration with universities that would like to collaborate or develop a partnership with us in areas as listed in the following attachment.

We build lasting, mutually beneficial relationships based on trust and collaboration. We can work together in many ways, including but not limited to the following:
1. Master admission: since most of our graduates are planning to pursue their master degree after undergraduate study, we would like to build 4+X pathways to connect our students with more international universities.
2. Staff exchange: our programmes expect to introduce experienced teaching-track faculty in the foundation courses and engineering-related courses. We welcome your teaching-track faculty member to join our academic teaching as a visiting professor on a semester or a year basis.
3. Faculty recommendation: we are looking for Lecture/Senior Lecture in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence programmes. Senior teachers in the above areas who have just retired or in sabbatical leave at your university are welcome to apply for our teaching position.
4. TESOL teaching practice base: English language provision is an integral part of the programmes and is credit-bearing in our college. We set up an English Language Centre to manage the English teaching and offer opportunities in areas such as curriculum development, materials writing, assessment work and teacher education. Our college would be an ideal practice base for your Ph.D. or Master students majoring in TESOL/Language studies.
