Established in 1978, Changzhou Institute of Technology (CIT) is located in the economically vibrant Yangtze River Delta region, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. The campus spans approximately 100 hectares, with over 1400 staff members and more than 18,000 full-time students.Over the past five years, CIT has consistently ranked within the top 20 among China’s 700 newly established higher education institutions. Considering the local economic, industrial, and technological characteristics, CIT is committed to educating highly qualified professionals with innovative ideas and practical abilities to meet the demands of local social and economic development. Currently, CIT is among the first group of pilot HEIs integrating industry and education in the national strategy. Hertfordshire College, CIT is a Sino-foreign joint institute established by CIT and the University of Hertfordshire. It jointly designs and delivers programmes leading to awards from both CIT and the University of Hertfordshire. Officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China, Hertfordshire Collegeadmits an annual intake of up to 400 undergraduate students across its four honours degree programmes: BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BEng (Hons) Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, and BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence). These offerings all align with the rapid global expansion of the manufacturing industry. The programmes offered at Hertfordshire College CIT are subject to validation by the University of Hertfordshire, and their quality assurance and enhancement mechanisms all mirror those of the University of Hertfordshire.
